Morgan Charriere is a 25-year-old featherweight from Poissy, France. With a 16-7-1 pro record, Charriere has extensive experience for his age. In his most recent outing, Charriere claimed the Cage Warriors featherweight championship by a third-round knockout, notching the biggest win of his professional career and putting himself squarely on the radar of MMA fans across the globe.

After the fight, the newly crowned champ stated his desire to defend his belt at the next set of Cage Warriors events in March of 2021. Charriere’s elite athleticism and fast-twitch abilities make him an excellent counter-striker when fighting off his back foot. He also utilizes leg kicks to knock his opponents off balance.

His grappling has improved since he debuted in Cage Warriors, with Charriere using takedowns to win rounds in close fights. Since MMA has been recently legalized in France, the UFC and Bellator MMA have expressed their desire to plant their flag in the emerging market. Charriere is already massively popular in France, with over 140k followers on Instagram and 100k subscribers on YouTube, so he could be the charismatic figure to get the country of 67 million further invested in MMA.

Look for Charriere to defend his Cage Warriors featherweight championship in March, and if successful, then again in June or July. By the fall of 2021, he should either be signed by Bellator MMA or the UFC.
