The highly-anticipated debut of 15-1 amateur Jett Grande is upon us, as Grande is set to make his professional debut at XFC’s Young Guns 3 on Friday, August 6.
Grande competed extensively both in Canada and abroad, representing his country at the IMMAF Junior World Championships, Pan-American Championships, and Senior European Championships.
“XFC gives me a great platform,” Grande told MMA-Prospects. “Platform for exposure, a really good offer… a real no brainer. Good fighters, get to travel all over the U.S. It was a no brainer for sure.”
Recently, highly-touted amateur Jaylon Bates (3-0) made a similar jump from the amateur ranks to the big stage of Bellator. It isn’t common for a young prospect to be fighting on such a major stage, as Bates and Grande are doing in their respective promotions.
“The stars are the limit with this organization,” Grande said. “I want to fight the best, [and XFC] is a good place to do it. I’m honored to be the main event; I was thrilled. I get to represent them in the headlights. XFC is on that level, so I’m stoked for that.”
